What makes you think the above is true? Who thinks MOT will grow 30-40% in the next 18 months? The average (of more than 30 analysts) earnings estimate, as listed on Yahoo, is $1.51 for FY 1998. This is a drop of 35% from the $2.34 actual 1997 earnings. The average earnings estimate of $2.51 for FY 1999 represents a gain of only 7% from 1997 levels.

I believe that MOT is trading based on growth estimates approximating those shown on Yahoo.
