Cosmo,

I am new to SI and investing, I noticed that you made the following statement on Tuesday 6/9/98:

"I noticed the spread was a little wider yesterday. This is a signal that the MM is out of inventory and will raise the price quickly when buyers make their move."

Would not the MM raise the bid if they are out of inventory - thereby narrowing the spread?

And when you say that they will raise the price when the buyers make their move, are you talking about the bid price or the ask price?

Thanks for any enlightenment which you might wish to share.
