Bill Clinton - now "The Drug President"

During his brief time between fundraisers (necessary to fund his ongoing obstruction of justice) Clinton also mentioned that drug use has declined 49% since 1979.

Unusual date you say? Of course none of the networks news programs mentioned it but Clinton used 1979 as a base because drug use declined markedly during the 1980's. Too bad Clinton forgot to mention that drug use soared after he changed policies during his first term.

Clinton came into office saying that interdiction/criminal enforcement was all wrong and promptly changed policy. Drug use soared as Clinton focused on "treatment".

With the 1996 elections approaching, Clinton fired his drug guy, Brown (?), hired that General and switched back to the old policy, at least rhetorically.

Then, as a diversion, Clinton targeted cigarettes to hide his failed drug policy and the Media obliged, barely mentioning another Clinton failure.

So we know why Clinton used 1979 as a base in yesterday's speech, to once again take credit for the success of the 1980's and to hide another glaring Clinton failure.

And the Media obliged, as always.
