We are all beside ourselves wondering in what way Mr Bear's Stumpy Tail affected your character development.

I have no memory of little books at all. Except for fairy tales. Earliest memories are Bobbsey Twins, Happy Hollisters, the Maida books.
Nancy Drew (Carolyn Keene ruld!)
Alcott who led me to Dickens
Blue Willow
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
Martian Chronicles
The Little Prince (You are responsible for what you own. You are responsible for your Rose)
Through the Looking Glass
Raise High the Roofbeam, Carpenters (Salinger)
A New England Girlhood
Bulfinches Mythology
Lady Chatterley's Lover
Anna Karenina
Madame Bovary
The Sorrows of Young Werther
Gone With the Wind
The Diaries of Anais Nin
Green Mansions
TO Kill a Mockingbird

No wonder I turned out the way I did.
