Was surfing this thread as well as Yahoo one. Seems a lot of shorts are trying to push this stock back down instead of covering. Looks to me like a dead strategy. Many were short this stock (over 8 million).

Three years contract with Compaq. No, this one is no going to zero by now. So I'm getting long as big as I can right now. Not much downside, but a lot of potential to go up when those shorts start covering, and believe me, they will.

Could someone direct me to a post on the thread RE the details of the IDE sparq? I'm thinking about picking one up, and am curious about its dimensions, performance, and usability under NT.

Thanks,

Dave

I returned my internal for replacement. 5 months of treating it with kid gloves didn't get me all that far. To be fair, it was one of the very first internals, so there may have been some quality issues.

Syquest is excellent to deal with and there was no problem getting a replacement quickly. Still, it's left me with the impression that removable cartridge drives (Syquest or Iomega, imo) aren't yet to the point where they're reliable enough for backups. I sold my Sparq. Good company to deal with, in contrast to my experience with Iomega, but I don't have much confidence in that type of product anymore. I just bought a new hd to use for backups. At least they're reliable.

Btw, Syquest didn't offer up any resistance. Must be a lot of early drives going back.
