Well if you think this country is organized from the point of view of the individual then you are badly deluded. It's also in the individual's best interest to be able to keep the 30%-50% of his income that's extracted from him by threatening him with the loss of ( what's left ) of his freedom but there you have it. Obviously it is in a person's best interest to be able to talk to a lawyer in confidence. So what. My question is what does society get out of the deal? There must be something or it wouldn't exist.
