Cramer....

> G.S. is an amateur trader. The only thestreet.com writer worth reading is Cramer.<

Yup....Cramer is the reason I first signed up there, he alone is worth the subscription cost. I've also found Smith to be informative and helpful, especially about "how to get started" trading. I believed that would be helpful to the original poster...

Regards,

David

You mean Cramer's rambling articles about himself and his wife, the "Trading Goddess"? However, I do think he has been getting much better and more informative rather than being a soapbox for his own issues and talk about himself and his wife.

Gary Smith apparently is a serious and experienced trader and I believe he is successful at it. I also thinks he trades pretty much full-time. This is not any definition of amateur that I am aware of. Also he gives very good advice and observations on trading in the market, better than some of the so called "experts" out there. Furthermore he has integrity which for instance many traders lack in that for example he does not boast of outrageous success rates in the market

You think amateur? No offense here, but I think you have not been paying attention to the experience that Gary demonstrates through his articles on TSC. Note that there is a difference between being an amateur and a person whose purpose is to write to amateurs in the market. Also his low key representation of himself is diminished by some of the outrageous nonsense found elsewhere such as some generate here at SI. So if you make judgements based on looking for the bigger-than-life "image" particular people like Cramer try to project, I can understand your comment. But I do not evaluate another person's abilities in this way. I look for quality and substance and the ability for the person to communicate this to others. IMO Gary Smith operates at this level, while Cramer is getting much better. I do think Cramer does have much to offer based on his experiences in the market. He has proven this to me in some of his previous articles.

Just my opinions.
