Hi Uncle Frank,

Thanks for your comments. Your insights are appreciated.

However the takeover talk is circulating among more than just "wishful thinking investors".

And I think that Jim Barksdale has fully disclosed his purchase plans a while ago along with recently making a statement that the stock price is a very good buy. I am not a legal expert, but because he's been totally upfront with shareholders, I can't see him being prosecuted. Perhaps someone can correct me if I err here.

I don't have a position in NSCP, but have been seriously thinking about it. Watch the volume, watch the price... they will tell the tale.

Best wishes with NSCP. Perhaps I'll join you soon!

Perhaps this has something to do with Compaq's introduction of its new internet dohickey...Yesterday CPQ unveiled a device which instantly links the user to the internet via Alta Vista (which they now own because of their DEC acquisition). The user simply presses a button on the keyboard and is linked to the net with no ISP hassles...maybe the speculation is that the box makers will all want their own portals now that CPQ has started this innovation.
