As long as the DDX industry suffers, HMT will be depressed, and Herb can whomp on it. Even when the stock goes up, Herb will whomp on it (look at what he wrote about Starbucks -- full of innuendo, and hints, but nothing very concrete)

I guess what I don't like about his columns is the lack of FACTs not derived from press releases. I'd like some hard hitting accounting and 10K/Q reading that releases or exposes relevant information.

Or a real time look at industry channels to confirm or deny a company's projections.

Like when Komag CC last quarter suggested a $100-$125 mm qtr. I knew that unless industry fundamentals changed right away, there was little chance of that happening. HMTT however, forecasted a "conservative" qtr.

Cramer's articles are much more forward looking than Herb's.

There needs to be consolidation in the ddx industry, and its not happening. Maybe until it does, this industry won't recover. Now a comment like that from Herb would be forward looking...
