ratan,

In SLC it has been raining for weeks!

Well it has to rain, but it has been freezing as well, luckily I have been busy and not able to go out as much as I might like.

I see us closing negatively, the rally wasnt impressive IMHO

INDEX UPDATE
-----------------

The DRG just set a new high intraday. It is far from conclusive and needs plenty of confirmation, but it is a hint that we may be turning back to the upside.

Also the OEX and SPX intraday just poked thru an important resistance line.

The UTY is now at their all-time highs.

These signs are all hints that we could be turning to the upside later on.

The technicals are all overbought for the overall market(short-term) so there should be dipping, but these signals mentioned above may be giving the hint that the immediate pullback which should take place now/soon will not be that strong and should not establish lower lows.

At this time I am interpreting these signals as hints that we will still continue to range-trade, and still holding onto the 8750-9300
range.

Since I am mainly playing the OEX, feel that in light of this recent development as mentioned above, the support area in the 529-531 should hold for the immediate upcoming short-term pullback(1-5 days).

What god forsaken place do you guys live in ?? Its sunny and bright and beautiful out here in LA area
Oh no! I am trying to convince you guys to move to LA. More cars on the highway, more drive by shootings.

El Nino has moved Tornado Alley from my section to visit others this year so I've no room, as a general rule, to comment on natural disasters, but your post has prompted me to reply.........

I would suggest that you take the next gallon milk jug that you empty and pour some bright (orange or yellow would be good) paint inside of the jug and let it dry........
then
go to a hardware or lumber store and purchase some of the foam type of expanding insulation that comes in a can and some 100-200 feet of nylon rope -- 1/4 inch should work.......
then
fill the brightly colored jug with the foam , tie on the rope to the handle (sheepshank knot recco), tie the other end around your waist ( hangmannoose knot recco) -----

Then , when LA slides into the ocean, and Vegas becomes beach front property, the Coast Guard will be able to locate your body and notify your relatives, who hopefully live in landlocked locations......gggg
