Darren: I have no reason or need to talk trash. I do think you are being a bit antagonistic. I am an options player and I do go long on stock as in this one last year. Before the great fall.

I know one thing. Options players feel everything on a greater level as far as stock prices are concerned <VBG> So I may be wrong and others may not be struck by your tude.

Fine with me. Let us watch the moves, as today was certainly a negative market for most stocks. Especially those with recent gains.

Tomorrow and more so Friday will be of great interest. Possibly tomorrow afternoon. The stock moves into the S&P after close tomorrow.

Telecommunications Equipment
Brief: Group exhibited impressive relative strength, as only Qualcomm, ADC Telecom and At Home posted losses of more than one point... Nortel even bucked the bearish trend, eking out a gain of 1/8... Felt compelled to report something positive... In the news, Nippon Telephone & Telegraph selected Lucent to provide passive optical networking technology for the NT access network
throughout Japan... Lucent also announced a new optical fiber, called True Wave RS... Company claims product leapfrogs capabilities of any fiber in the long-distance marketplace today... Nortel CEO noted that company may buy a number of small networking firms, as smaller companies are easier to integrate (Cisco model)... Does this eliminate Bay?... Also suggested that firm wasn't
interested in adding company with strong ATM presence... Would suggest that FORE and Ascend are unlikely candidates... Each of the networkers have rallied in recent weeks amid speculation that
Nortel was interested... If company seeks smaller private or public firms, ASND, FORE and BAY could drop by 10% or more as takeover premium contracts.<b/>
