I'm coming to the conclusion that a major driver of Mexican stock prices is the price of crude. I've been trading Mexican stocks since the devaluation in '94 and have noticed that the correlation between the two markets is quite high. If oil ever comes back in a meaningful way, I anticipate MXF will as well.
