Pete, one thing is clear in this. Mr. Asensio has drawn a deep line in the sand by attacking Dreyfus and either he or Dreyfus is in big trouble. I don't know which is right (OK I do have an opinion and have placed my bet) but there is no middle ground with these serious charges, there will be a very sad loser before it is over and I expect the end to come quickly. Either Mr. Schoenberg did or didn't do the things of which he is accused and it should not be difficult to prove it one way or the other.

If wrong, Mr. Asensio has crossed the line from opinion to accusations and deserves the resulting lawsuit. If right, I don't think the defense of "all the fund managers do it" will help Dreyfus and the consequences will be serious for them and for CCSI.

As a personal opinion, I find it hard to believe that a person with Mr. Asensio's experience would be making such serious charges in the face of a certain libel suit without the evidence to back him up. But stranger things have happened............

The only certainty at this point is that either the longs or the shorts will win big on this one and the lawyers will make more than any of us as they sort it out.
