Slightly off topic

Enjoy your thread & find it very educational.Re a quote of yours May 5 "NASD vs NYSE", this was tremendously enlightening & full of things every investor should be aware of. Incidentally, I was referred to that SI msge by Jenna on Mkt Gems thread.

As I am Canadian, most of my trades are on TSE, VSE & a bit of Alta SE.
You are probably aware of the controversy re postings by Porter Davis on 'Canadian Options' thread re complaints with the TSE & subsequent actions by TSE to sue Davis & even warnings to SI re allowing such posts! In Canada we do not have free speech or much else for that matter. They have legislation passed supposedly to take our guns away. Criminals of course will still have them.

But that's off topic. My question.
Do you have experience with Canadian exchanges & if so, would you care to comment on their operations? I know the VSE does not have a good reputation but previously thought TSE was at a much better level. Now I have serious doubts on that also. Well of course Bre-X tarnished TSE & Canada in general.

Just a quick comment when you aren't too busy.

Datek vs K-TEL

Hi Steve,

I thought you might get a chuckle out of this post about Datek and K-Tel

Message 4829952

I have no idea if the insinuations in this post are true or if 'Paranoids-R-Us' have a new potential member.

Any comments or thoughts about about how common this might be, in general, in the more shady sides of the brokerage business?

Have a great trading day!

John

Steve,
Read the Yamner newsletter last night.
My question is about WDC. I remember when you were first discussing
WDC and the management looked sound. If that were the case and WDC
is really a good company on hard times. I wonder why you wouldn't
be averaging down at these rock bottom prices. Is it your feeling that we have more to slide. I got in to WDC yesterday and believe we may have hit bottom. Any comments?

Steve, how do you use the Jag notes. Do you find them useful in your trading activities?
