WHY ISN'T THIS FRONT PAGE NEWS ???????
IS THERE A GOVERNMENT-MEDIA COMPLEX THAT WILL NOT GET ANGRY AT CLINTON, NO MATTER WHAT HE DOES.

"Clinton has brought us to the brink of nuclear war," says Senator Moynihan.

- A critical review by Exton

On "Fox News Sunday", broadcast May 31, 1998, Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan said, "We are closer to nuclear war than we have been anytime since the Cuban Missile Crisis," and that it won't be a war between Pakistan and India. Within 5 years, this will be an "Islamic Bomb."

During the interview when asked about clinton' s (lower case is intentional) policy of arms transfer to China, Senator Moynihan said that, "By doing so we have given the Chinese the feeling that they have more freedom to do more than they would do normally." The actions of the US encouraged the transfer of technology to Pakistan. It was this threat to India that was their reason to set off nuclear weapons because "it feels surrounded by the Chinese." Further the Chinese know their actions will go unpunished because "The Chinese believe we will do business with them - NO MATTER WHO THEY DO BUSINESS WITH."

Our influence is minuscule in this region, he stated. "We're not considered a super power in the Middle East, because they don't care about super powers. " Russia has the most on influence on India, as China does on Pakistan. "At a minimum we should be using Cold War stabilizing techniques in the area."

He ended the interview, explaining why clinton's sanctions will not work. Senator Moynihan was Ambassador to India from 1973-1975 and should be considered an expert on the India and Pakistan regions. He stated "Sanctions won't work because it's a deeply religious, ethnic, historical thing that loan guarantees will have no affect on." He quotes what Pakistan's Prime Minister Buto he told him -"Pakistanis will eat grass until they get a Nuclear Bomb."
