I too could make a broad generalization: Civilizations by definition cannot survive- the individuals will eventually act in their own self interest & the civilization will fall apart. Does this mean this latest downturn indicates we should run for the hills? The growth of entropy (which includes death and decay I believe, but not taxes) is assured.
