The reason for the stock being trashed is MSFT BS, pure and simple.

They may not have timed the positive press releases that you eluded to, but overall, the fundamentals and WIND's PR have been excellent.

Evidence - the same day WIND announced another stellar quarter with a great CC (IMO), the stock went down. Why? In one word MSFT BS.

Look at the volumes since MSFT made their first pronouncements about realtime back at the beginning of April. MSFT was singlehandedly sucessful in scaring the sh*t out of any serious institutional $$$ coming WIND's way. On the contrary, all serious cash flow has been running the opposite direction since MSFT pulled their BS on WIND.

If I didn't have a decade of experience with RTOS development and firsthand experience with every COTS RTOS out there, maybe I would be running the other way too.

Check the fundamentals and press releases of another MSFT victim, CHKPF. Their stock has been in the toilet since MSFT decided it would muscle in on the Firewall Security market that CHKPF currently leads.

Wallstreet apparently does not believe that the DOJ has the wherewithall to tackle the MSFT gorilla. MSFT just keeps going up.

What you're saying is that it's a good time to buy WIND shares. :-)

1) The best news about Wind River hasn't been on the news wires in front of investors.
2) We're at a 52-week low and the stock is "boring" in such a bull market.
3) Investors are finally throwing in the towel.

These are all key elements that I look for before buying a high growth company.
