Zeev & thread,

I just ran a quick spreadsheet on the 30 stocks that make up the DJIA.. They range from 73 to 99 pct of their respective 52 week highs. A simple average of stock prices is around 88 pct of the highs and a weighted average (based on mkt cap) is around 90%. Yet the DJIA is around 95% of its high. I am not exactly sure how the average is calculated, but doesn't this seem odd?

TIA

Doug
