When Cyrix is losing money with the $799 PC as an entry point, how much more will they lose at $299?

$500 more per chip sold? <gg>

RE:"Cyrix is losing money with the $799 PC"

Paul,

If it makes you feel better to believe this, please go ahead.

Here's a fantasy wish list for Intel die-hards:
1. MediaGx doesn't make money.
2. Cyrix stopped innovating when National bought them.
3. People are loyal to the Intel brand name.
4. Celeron is a really good processor.
5. PII is worth the price premium.
6. Intel sales tactics are totally above board.
7. The FTC investigation is completely off base.
8. PCOAC won't work.
9. Slot 1/2 are worth the price premium.
10. Intel stock will go back up this millenium.

Paul,

Looks like INTC is headed for an 18 month low in the next couple weeks. I'm very pleased with my INTC puts, and the role NSM has in adding value to them.
