When the regulatory hoops are exhausted, it simply only remains for Ebbers and Roberts to set a date for closing. As regards the 20 days, if they hypothetically were to set a closing date of 8/1, the effective price would be the average of the 20 trading days prior to 8/1.

Thanks to all of you for a lot of good posts on this thread. I think we are going to get an approval soon. How long has it been in the works...8 mos? When it is final, I will have even more respect for WCOM management's ability to pull these deals off.

I also think MCI folks would be wise to stick around for a while to see how it develops,as this thing is has more future in it than MCI alone, or any alternative.
