They'll just do another poll and look you right in the eye and tell you 'The American People don't care so it just doesn't matter".
I guess they're right. Doesn't bode well for the future. Banana Republicdom here we come.

Remember during the last presidential campaign that NBC ran a coordinated news series on all its news programs for entire week designed to drive home the idea that "lying is good and everyone does it". Time and CNN had similar themes in their news.

Can anyone deny that that propaganda was not an effort to assist the Liar-in-Chief in his reelection? As was the concurrent Media refrain that "character doesn't matter"?

Still, the "unusually good liar" became the first two-term president ever to fail to achieve a majority even once. (So Lincoln was right, you can't fool all of the people all of the time.)

Only two-time minority President - another dubious "achievement" for the Dubious Duo. Call him a "two-timer" for brevity.

Btw, I recently read that the major Media never commissioned or produced a poll which asked whether the Watergate or Iran-Contra prosecutors were being "partisan", etc or whether their legal probes were excessive or should be ended. Those were questions the Media never considered and never wanted considered.

Makes the Media's agenda all that much clearer, if there were any doubt.

I am hopeful that when the American public begins to hear the truth and see Mr. Starr's evidence the polls and opinion will change. It happened to Nixon. JLA
