There was an article in the local paper yesterday about the services in particular the Navy having a hard time making their recruiting quotas. JLA

The military is all volunteer but 18 year old males have to register for the draft and have had to do so since the Carter administration. In fact, men my age were the first who had to register after draft registration was reinstituted. You remain eligible to be drafted until age 26.
