Cat,

I and others on the thread spend a lot of time trying to figure out what is happening and what is going to happen because it is the surest way to make money. If the future can be predicted then the odds of making a winning investment improve to where it is not a "Random Walk on Wall Street."

We rarely if ever have complete information upon which to make investments but we should strive to get it.

Thanks,

Jim Kelley

Chuzzlewit and LOD - What the hell happened today?

I left the office this morning and the DOW was -120. I came back after close it's +23.17. This game never ceases to amaze me.

It seems that after I bought a Call Option on Dell, the correction occurred. I'm holding out until the stock becomes so low that MD himself calls me with a buyout offer. I'm sorry if this effects any daytrading positions you guys might have. Good thing were Long.
If anybody starts complaining about this recent 20% decline, feel free to suggest the Zeemian inverse curve principle (ZIP), which states:

When Zeem buys Calls the rest of the market is temporarily safe to buy "Naked Puts"

Chuz -
re: Jim Kelley's analysis
what do you think of
crn.com
which clearly paints a different story? I personally think Jim is way off base on this channel inventory kick but we'll all know in a few weeks I guess. It is certainly a very valid line of inquiry and I appreciate Jim's effort to dig into the underlying data, just disagree with his conclusion.
