OFF TOPIC, just a little bit

Did you hear on the news about the moron from England that was looking for tickets to the England versus Tunisia World Cup match? He was offering a free night with his wife in exchange for 2 tickets. When approached by the news media about her husband's offer, his wife replied "Anything goes for the happiness of one's spouse!". Wow. And I thought the World Cup wasn't going to be exciting this year. They didn't show a picture of her though. Hmmm....

By the way, the nightly news presented this as a true story, so I don't know if this is another urban legend or what, but they did mention a website where offers could be tendered.

LOL! Zebra, I have to tell you about something that happened to me today. I swear every word is true. I got in a conversation with a retired gentleman about the stock market. At one point, he mentioned some stock's ticker symbol to me, like I should be interested in buying it. I said I had never heard of it.

He said, "Well it's a penny stock. I don't know much about the company. I don't usually buy them, I stick to [several large caps], but this is 20 cents a share! You can get ten thousand shares for two thousand dollars, and if it goes up, you make a good profit, and if it goes down, you only lose 2 thousand."

This is the thing about these BS penny stocks that I never actually understood. They have an almost mystical quality for some people. It is really amazing to me how stupid people can be about the stock market.

BTW, the gentleman is a retired Judge!

In doing further research I found yet another meaning of rubbage

rubbage: the bag of fat that forms around one's gut as we age, particularly in spite of our
efforts to avoid it. its roots are:

rubicare (latin for signature)

bag (obvious)

age (you know what I mean)

Construction: signature of age/aging
>>>>>>>>>

Speak for yourself, not all of us age ungracefully. My children keep me young.

At least that's what I keep telling them.
