Paul,

Why is Compaq showing Intel PentiumII XEON Servers at next week's PC Expo instead of Alpha servers?

The same reason they sell Intel based notebooks and GXm based notebooks. It's called a wide offering. A broad product base.. etc. Take your favorite stock phrase and try it.

CPQ is now HUGE! with teh acquisition of DEC. And they will only get bigger. CPQ wants to be the next IBM and now they have all the pieces. Alpha and XEON can coexist (believe it or not). The real interesting stuff will happen when Merced debuts.
