I wouldn't compare COMS with ASND; more like COMS and CS.

>>If anyone wants to look down the road a bit and see where 3-com stock might
be...just look at a chart of ASND. Then back up the truck and buy 3com stock!
ASND dropped into low 20's and of course nobody wanted to touch it THEN !
3-coms will do the same IMHO. <<

Why compare with ASND and not CS? There is much similarity with the financial with CS than ASND.
ASND missed the estimates only once and has proved to the street that it has got rid of its problems, mainly about product transitions.
It has given nothing but positive guidance. COMS and cs have in succession disappointed. COMS is facing margin erosion in low end modems, NIC ( as the memory and disk drive players are experiencing) and loss of businnes in the high end to ASND and CSCO.
AOL and other RBOCs are awarding new contracts to ASND in remote access. This earnings is the key to COMS. If it shows a loss and says business is bad in NIC, modems and the street feels they are loosing market share to ASND and CSCO, then the stock can go down further.
