Looks very interesting, claiming it doubles to 800Mbps the current 1394 data transfer rate and projecting availability the end of this year. My guess is Adaptec is not far behind. Anybody have information on that? Adaptec has acknowledged the 1394 roadmap has speeds of 800Mbps expected in 1998 with 1Gbps plus in succeeding years. Symbios also a player in 1394.

Is your reference to ADPT as "the dude" in any way related to Jeff Bridges' character in The Big Labowsky, - a nice humble guy that takes an extraordinary amount of abuse without knowing why?
