Jules - Re: " If your "best guess" is correct, than the Dept. of Justice, as well as the press, should be investigating why?"

I hate to disappoint you, but you wouldn't believe what a Den of Thieves the DOJ and the FTC are.

I am at this minute reading OVERDRIVE by James Wallace, a book about Microsoft.

The first few chapters go into DETAILS about the FTC and DOJ invesitigations from 1989 - 1994 (NOT THE CURRENT CASE). To be blunt, everyone associated with that case - lawyers, lawyers, politicians - Senators, Congessmen, Congesswomen, lawyers, etc. - was a pack of wolves trying to carry out the wishes of their own particular financial pocket-stuffers.

Crooks.
Liars.
Politicians.
Lawyers.

Thge only prayer that Intel and/or Microsoft have is if an epidemic or plague visits itself on Washington, D.C. and eliminates the entire government.

I recommend you read this book - and the prior one HARD DRIVE.

The descriptions of the POLITICAL RAMIFICATIONS of the FTC/DOJ investigation of Microsoft will boil your blood to see how OUR TAXPAYERS MONEY is used against citizens of the U.S..

The lawyers love it - they are on everybody's payroll!
