<if the geology there supported GE's statements, majors and banks would be on them.>

How do you know they are not??

<It's so soon after the KRY debacle that I got involved here and I am not a shareholder so I shouldn't have as I was not looking for answers to potentially invest with GE.>

Wasn't this KRY thing a dispute over property ownership?????

Good post TM, they do indeed need a JV or buyout or bankrupcy may well be in their near future.

If the gold is there, they will come. None of us has seen the report, none of us knows the future.

We can only guess, glass half full or half empty at this point.
On that we both agree. I also agree that 6.4 M proven is a very ballsy claim, I hope they can back it up with substantive facts.

Again, I like the SEC presence, if not for them I probably would have been gone by now.

<< But, no one I have seen or heard that has CC's type knowledge thinks this is for real, based on what GE has done yet. >>

Just so the record is really clear, keep in mind that, so far, I have not commit an opinion on the veracity of what MINE and Guido are saying. As I said many times, I don't really know...and will wait until I have more technical info before I comment.

All I have said is that I don't understand how they can come up with those numbers based on the exploration work and the money they have spent so far on this project.

Exactly how many small companies have made large claims since BRE-X? I feel that BRE-X had and continues to have a huge impact on who and how those interested in JV's and financing go about selecting their prey!

Most of us are fairly naive about all that is going on with MINE and/or the gold mining industry. We keep wanting to know why big companies aren't leaping on this with eagerness. Well IMO it's as follows:

With the POG in the dumpster and BRE-X and small mining concerns going bankrupt, the field is absolutely wide open. The cost to acquire vast reserves is still in freefall! Negotiations are being impacted by the sheer weight of economics and the very real threat of a continuing fall in the POG and of course the possibility of fraud.

Are the majors interested? Damn right they are! Are they going to be jumping up and down showing their exuberance and willingness to join in? Hell no, that's not a profitable negotiating technique! There are properties out there with lots of proven ounces that they may be able to get for a tiny fraction of what MINE will probably require.

Take it easy, we may not get rich this summer. But try to take a little longer view. This is a producing mining company. I expect that part of the report coming out will state and prove the current gold production and cost per ounce as well as the anticipated production and cost of mining with the new equipment that should have very recently arrived at the site.

Even if the majors don't jump through MINE's hoops and the banks don't offer reasonable financing, this company is far enough along to attract the capitol needed to become a valuable asset to it's stock holders. Personally I would be more concerned if they negotiated a deal right away.

This is an exciting story and the end of it, even if it turns out that the Inca's and many other successful miners during the last 1000 years in this valley took it all, it won't be boring.

IMO, Cheers, Jon
