Lamar ... I have found it instructional to track all of my sold investments. In general I believe people are better at determining when to BUY a stock than they are at determining when to SELL it. So I enforce upon myself the discipline of writing down, at the time I buy a stock, why I am buying it and what will have to change for me to sell it. Then when I sell, I write down why I sold it and what will have to change before I would buy it again. Comparing the two notebook comments has really helped me be a more discerning ... less emotional ... investor.
