joe, thanks for posting all those interesting articles and highlighting the important parts. It saves all of us a lots of time.

3com is a good company but temporarily facing a few tough quarters. 56K modems seems to be doing well. NIC is also doing well at the expense of Intel and the policy-based stretegy will work out really fine for coms in the near future. ADSL, Cable modems, ISDN, Gigabit, Layer-3 .... 3com is all readied. coms is a very good long-term investment.

Virtual Lan? My wife's boss said that they were favoring Cisco over
3COM because Cisco can offer virtual lans. Does 3COM also have this
or does Cisco have an edge here?
