Mang,

Don't forget, even though it's developing an
excellent 'channel' strategy, it's also
got it's OEM contracts and many other avenues
such as upcoming telco products.

I don't know exactly how it happened, but the
USRX merger has caused a lot of pain. I know
that lots of it was the modem standards war, of which
I'm not sure they could have prevented.

Also, for COMS to compete in the future, it had
to get bigger. So it had to merge with another
company.... that may have been a difficult
choice since it's long-term strategy had been developed
before hand so it couldn't merge with just
any network company....

Lots of people don't understand that it's
not competing with CSCO or similars. It mainly
wants to bring the power of the network to
common folk like us. Eventually, we will all
have Fortune 500 Networks in our own homes.

I can't wait until 3 or 4
years from now, I can begin mixing and matching
my workstations at home and doing some creative
'toying' around with the network...

I believe they have a good strategy.
All COMS needs to do now, is to execute well.
