Here is a strategy that may work in this environment -- for some.

Here most of us sit with our faves at very low prices. Some of these positions are at losses, I assume.

Why not sell that ABC driller, establish the tax loss for this year, buy a fast mover (I vote for CDG to give the most bang for the buck in the very short term), sell the fast mover after it gives you a few points, then go back to ABC driller (if it has been 30 days) or an "ABC similar" driller for the longer term growth.

Point is, it is good to establish those tax losses. Plus it is good to ride the fastest rocket when the "rebound" comes. I suggest the fastest rockets will be...CDG,EVI,MDCO,FGII,VRC and possibly MIND (earnings out before mkt Monday, conf call at 11). If I had to pick ONE I would go with CDG forthat burst of flash we all know and love.

That's it from His Honor on Sunday AM...gotta run to see a man about some rocks.

My picks: The fastest rockets up when the turnaround occurs will be the land drillers in my opinion. My picks are UTI number one and PKD number two.
