>>> The US will beat Germany. They will WIN<<<

Give it a break, dream on, you will wake up after a nightmare. Wishful thinking. No relation to reality. Concentrate on Yugos if you wonna survive.

But have fun
Klaus

Thanks for the warm welcome. If I weren't busy setting up a new multi-monitor setup, I'd be in Amsterdam right now - I'll be there soon, no matter.

Tomorrow will be a big day for the U.S.! Klaus, WE'LL SEE!! All I can say is this: when Germany loses, they will be in serious trouble. If they don't beat Yugoslavia, a possibility, they could be out of the tournament! I admit my prediction may appear a bit outlandish, but no one expected 1990, either, when the U.S. nearly tied Italy (finally losing 1-0) in Rome, of all places! or 1994, when they beat Colombia, and, more impressively, held Brazil to a meagre 1-0 victory. This team has much more talent than either of those did, and much more support and awareness of the sport in their home country. I will be very surprised if they don't reach the second round. For my part, I hope they win their group, for I do not relish the idea of my two favorite teams, USA and the Netherlands, playing each other in the second round. My Dutch friends would not be too pleased if the USA puts them out! Though I cannot imagine that happening.

I agree, at this point it does not look as if the Netherlands can take the Cup, although their play in the run-up to France '98 was dominant. A healthy Bergkamp is a must. I neglected to mention that he was the Premier League's Player of the Year this past season for Arsenal.

I did not mean to gloss over Nigeria's accomplishment; they have a great coach in Milutinovic and a vastly talented side. Who knows? They are very good, and their win over Spain was very impressive indeed. I thought Spain played well in defeat, which says a lot for the Nigerian side.

Anyway, I can't wait for tomorrow's game. It is going to be big.
