"What are the odds of First Person Shooters becoming the next target of "Polical Correctness?"

Chip-

May cause a short term bump, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. The TV and movie industry has been a target of this for some time, and the last time I checked Stallone and Arnold are still making movies and being paid very well for them. The worst that could happen is yet another rating system on games, which in large part will be ignored as much as the movie and tv rating systems are.

JMHO, of course.

Andrew

Yes, that is true about games but consider sometime, "nuts and fruits" get their ideas from movies because they cant think up their own ideas. Children on the other hand watch and imitate. Lately there has been alot about kids killing others at school. All of this adds up to possible censorship in, Hollywood and other areas. I think TV has to change before computer games change. Not all games have to be violent but that is what is selling right now. Maybe the future is 3D with interactive sound and sound recognition. Realism might spawn new markets never thought of? Just trying to put a positive spin on technology.

Re: Backlash against Violence

Surely you can't be serious, Chip.
