Steve, This is the situation causing me to renew the question about whether the serial shorting of a stock can expand the float. <<< Calling all cars: Why are the stock cops at the Securities and Exchange Commission investigating trading in beleaguered Syquest's (SYQT:Nasdaq) stock? Could it be that more shares than exist are being sold short? That's called naked shorting, and it's illegal.
