Paul,

Cyrix has a PCO2C - what good did it do them?

Glad you asked that question:

1) Purchased by National Semiconductor. Therefore it kept them ALIVE.

2) The best selling notebook powered by one. Can't say that about an Intel chip.

3) Account with CPQ, PB and NEC.

4) The launch of the sub $1,000 pc (which you said was a fad and would blow over.. boy you were right pal.. silly that we thought the sub $1,000 would stick around).

5) Deals with Wyse for dumb terminals and a couple more $M.

Now I have a question for your Paul. How many years did it take Intel to reliably make money every quarter? (honestly, I have no idea).

You seem ready to cut down Cyrix and yet they are still young. Giv'em time Paul.

Steve
