Don,

Sorry I haven't been able to get to respond to your post about John 8:38-59. I'll try to get to it either next week or next weekend. I've got a pretty full plate right now. :-)

I've been thinking about your questions about Jesus and the trilemma. What is your opinion of the Trinity?

Greg

Don,

As with my apology to Jane, I would like to extend one to you for being so tardy in replying. It has been a busy couple of weeks for me. I will be reading John 8:38-59 sometime this weekend.

Right off the bat, though, I suspect there is another alternative to the so-called "trilemma". It is the position that I take: that of not knowing. For you it is clear that Jesus is Lord. I asked the question about the Trinity in an attempt to show that even if you are certain that Jesus is Lord, there is still the potential for not knowing. I look at the Trinity as almost an intractable concept. But then, do you believe all things of God to be knowable by men?

I still think the "trilemma" question is leading.

Greg
