Deeber,
If you are representative of a second tier of public stockholders(semi-active), then your comments show that another group of people are now considering selling their positions. (The first group were active daily traders who have already sold and are even short in some stocks.) After that you have the mutual fund holders who won't sell unless they just keep loosing serious value for six months or more which makes them a non-issue at this point.

By the way, nothing wrong with lighting up your exposure until you feel greater clarity about the overall trend. Understanding the market trend may be the most important skill for investors to learn...see my post on it at Message 4523573
