The $30 target price seems a prudent and round number for the analyst, especially with the consolidation occurring in the Telephony area (e.g. DIGI, BAY,etc). I like our chances with or w/o a takeover.

Here comes the papa bear....I don't see VLSI...recovering anytime soon....There are huge rumors about a takeout for this company...I don't think that will happen, anytime soon...because all of the other semis are hurting in stock price...and the worst thing to do is start eating up cash or equity for companies whose revenues are on the decline and profits are shrinking....VLSI does look cheap...but the semiconducter sector is weak and the bear market is starting to creep in...clearer evident today...I see VLSI taking out the 52 week low of 14 9/16...some time this month...as more earnings warnings come in...I think VLSI will also warn...I am short and glad I am...I would hate to hold this stock long in this jittery market...
