lisa, why is booking earned points "cheating"? I took my measly little point on Friday and reshorted at the same price. To get more points I still need to see 1074 or lower, no different than before. The only part of this game I see as "cheating" is being able to go flat to wipe out a losing "position". In real life, losing trades in fact do reduce net realized profits or offset winning trades.

As in many games, playing *just* within the rules can give one an advantage not available in the real life activity the game is meant to simulate. But I don't see the advantage gained by "booking a point" unless I had gone flat later to wipe out the "loss" on the second, lower basis short. I could have gone flat just before the close on Friday and then reshorted after the close at the higher price, giving me a higher entry point for my short and costing me no points. Now that would be within the rules, but IMO, would not be within the spirit of the rules.

Regards,
Bob
