I agree, I'd like to see them stay around but with WWF that throws a wrench at things.

Actually it throws the whole damn tool chest!! :-) Iiiiii love it!

Subject: Re: Shareholders meeting

Just returned from the meeting (lasted about 1hr)- here's my report:

-About 25-30 in attendence (including 5-6 from this board)
-BF seemed alittle up tight as the meeting began. I guess he wasn't sure if he was going to be attacked or praised. As the tone of the meeting wasn't hostile, he warmed up as it went along.
-No surprise, the board passed and so did the options
-Q & A:
(1)How are the options going to be used?
To attract new employees and retain old ones. Each board member gets 2500 per Q (total 10,000 per yr) at fair makret value on the day they are issued. While the % of options issued seems large compared to other companies, it really isn't, it's bec we have such a small float that it looks bigger.

(2)Quest
Initial reports on weekend selling are "very, very good" - not runaway hit, but very good. Commericals (which we saw - cute) begin Nationwide today & run for the next 3 weeks on show like Nickelodeon, Disney Sunday Nite Movie, Hanging w/ Mr. Cooper,Simpsons, etc. 25,000 back-up units go out end of month

(3)Grandstream
Will ship this Q. No TV support. All planned games WILL ship this Q.

(4)Redjack
Saw the trailer. Very, very cute. For Windows and MAC. Will ship in August

(5)Stock Split
They haven't discussed it since the last board meeting (which was right around the WCW problem). They will be discussing it again and it sounded like it would be soon. BF refused to commit, but my gut says maybe around 2Q earnings announcement.

(6)WCW
I asked BF if they were as surprised about the non-renewal as we were. He said that they absolutely were and that WCW was not giving them all of the info so THQ was dealing in the dark.

(7)Future
Wants "substained growth" (kept repeating this). Spends a lot of time with analysts to help stock. Likes to keep their inventory tight. Has no idea about the big # of shorts (seem really surprised by it). Never considered a stock buy back. Would rather use the $ to develop new products, get new licenses and develop new games. BF said the company was "very GOAL oriented". "We're just getting started"

(8)EPS
Happy with estimates. Someone asked, based on our real growth, if a $3.00 eps figure wouldn't be more realistic. I thought BF was going to go into cardiac arrest. VERY HAPPY with the #'s as they stand. Including the one time charge for Game Effects

(9)Other
Might release some WWF last half of '99. Game Effects stuff to be released sometime in '99. While old systems represented 50% of '97 revenues, only 10% in '98. Next generation systems will be big. Asia - Almost non-existent. N64 was a disaster, WCW totaly only sold 100,000+ units there, playstation hard to make in roads. Europe - WCW is more of an American thing, so just did OK. Still plans on increasing in a big way. CFO leaving next week to go to London, etc.

(10)PAX
Didn't set the world on fire, but "very happy with it bec it made money for us" and "we learned a lot"

Will report more as I remember more
