Vlad,

Having got home and plotted out the script data it appears not so bad as I first thought. It looks that the week before Memorial day was a blip up and that the baseline is a little lower than we thought two weeks ago.

The muse data post-viagra describes beautiful smooth curves. But if you look at all the data since muse was introduced, there are very marked fluctuations from week to week. These are highly significant statistically (assuming script fillings are independent events) and some can be explained by specific factors, eg Memorial day and Christmas (What are the other big dips due to?). Now that we have reached the bottom of the trough and the strong viagra effect causing the smooth decline is dissipated we can expect some weekly blips up and down. We are crazy now if we are going to get euphoric over a blip up and then suicidal over a blip down. I think the recovery could take many weeks.

Something I would like is a guess from the professionals on the thread about how many of the new scripts are actually from men who are regular users. It could be that the number of new users now is very much lower than we think. If this is so the turn round will be slow and will depend on the effectiveness of the measures that Vivus are now taking.

To cheer everybody up, and assuming that I can get my scanner working, I will send later some amusing and instructive newspaper cuttings from Viagra mad/terror struck UK - viagra and paedophiles - things like that. I think viagra is good for some poor ED sufferers and I hope for them it is not pulled - but it sure is going to give Pfizer some helluva bad publicity.
