No, but once you put on the land peddling hat(as you have) you are swimming in the same sea as the sharks(land sharks that is from SNL)

Thereare many groups like yours in Timmins. They look for land, stake it, do some exploration and try to get a major nibble. I have no problem with that and find your web sight and what you do right and proper. But how does a rank outsider tell the difference? Read the program? listen to the usher?
Now the crooks have great programs and winning ushers, but they are not good people, as Mae West said "dearie, goodness had nothing to do with it"

You are not a skilled con artist. That means if you have 100 average people and they listen to your truth ful story and the crooks dog and pony show then most will sign up with the crooks. How can they tell?
Their interpersonal skills are not up to the task of seeing through the crooks and gettin to the salt of the earth honest Joe that you are. So you need to hire a "crook" A skilled teller of tales and have him be thr front runner for your operation. Costs money as the good ones want good pay. The crooks want a big piece of the action and they also hire good PR men.

So in effect the only defence we have is a general pessimism and refusal to run with the crowd. The other way is a SH group forms and asks management if they can go and get samples and test them. If management says no, become suspicious. You ccannot ask this of Dome or Barrick, but you can ask of a junior and they know the problems and SH groupd often get together and hire a geologist and fly him there and pay $500 per day plus expenses for a week. The major funds do this now(even more so after BRE-X). For a SH group to spend $5000 on this DD is cheap compared with the money at stake. 100 SH at $50 each. What would have happened at IPM? IPM would have refused and that would have identified them as a total scam. There is no valid reason for a junior to refuse. They are a public company and they own the land(or have legal access) so nothing the geologist could do would compromise any aspect of IPM(except letting the cat out of the bag too ealry)
I have taken SH on tours and I let them sample as they will. I make sure they sign a risk waiver. Hell if they wanna drill and assay a hole, let them.
