Well there are 2 big problem with StrongARM from Intel's point of view and a big question mark.

The first is simple, it's a low cost solution. Intel doesn't have much experience offering low cost anythings, let alone CPUs. It will be interesting to see what Intel does to pricing and performance.

The second is that at current it is not an integrate audio/video and computation core. Now Intel can build that in, but it will take and some mixed signal experience that I don't _think_ Intel has (I may be wrong here, but I don't follow Intel closely enough to tell if they have any good mixed A/D people).

And the big question mark is whether or not Intel will be able to make an external solution work for them. I don't think they have ever pulled that off, and the "not invented here" mentality could kill off a good thing.
