Is WSTL in here?---CAIS Internet, a CGX Communications Company, announced today a 10 year, $100 million agreement where Qwest Communications will provide leased and routed IP bandwidth on its fiber network. My research shows CAIS to be largely involved with remote access using an ethernet card and T1 line. But, from CAIS's home page comes......

CAIS Internet is proud to announce the availability of ADSL, a high speed residential Internet service. Bell Atlantic is currently providing ADSL access on a market-trial basis, in a limited area of Northern Virginia (check this list to see if you are in that area). CAIS Internet is the first local Internet Service Provider able to provide Internet access with this new technology.
The ADSL service is divided into two parts, ADSL access and Internet Access. The cost for Bell Atlantic's ADSL access is only $30.00 per month, with no hidden charges. This includes installation, free Ethernet card and installation of ADSL modems. The CAIS Internet Access costs only $28.50 per month, including everything you need for full Internet Access.

ADSL Access customers receive:

1.5 Megabits of Internet bandwidth toward your computer and 64K from your computer toward the Internet
Full Internet Access, unlimited use. E-mail, UseNet News Service and a UNIX shell account
No sign-up fee, either from CAIS Internet for the Internet part or Bell Atlantic for the ADSL connection
No required annual or long-term contract, simply a month to month service agreement
CAIS Internet's reliability and redundancy. As a first tier Internet Service Provider we are connected directly to Mae East through a 100 Megabit FDDI connection and to Sprint with a 45 Megabits connection for redundancy
If you are interested in more information about ADSL Access to the Internet, you may call us at 703-448-4470 or E-mail web@cais.net................

CAIS evidently needs more capacity. Hope some terminates in copper.
