Thanks for the info. I believe 2nd receivers (even without the dish) is more expensive because you are not forced to purchase service with it. Maybe.. I should say... there is only an additional $4.99/month for Dish when you purchase a second receiver. So, they are not able to discount it as much. I'm sure there are some who have purchased a System... then cancel their service... then restarted their service on the new system... then use the old system as a second. They probably incurred a $25 restart fee. Oh...
