>>>Finally, it ludicrous to suggest that a company, or any other endeavor, is of questionable merit solely because one individual is indirectly associated with it. That is simply illogical,as I suspect you know, and frankly, it is one of the more irrational statements that I have encountered on this or any other thread. If that were the case, then Silicon Investor is equally questionable <<<

You may find my message thread indicator ludicrous if you like, it leads me to a lot of great short selling situations. I'm not sure where you got the idea it was limited simply to Mr. sosiak, that would indeed be foolish. There have been numerous posters that show that they are insecure or unknowledgable about TAVA. There are equally enough that seem rather rational about their position.

You pick your stocks your way, I'll pick mine my way.

>>>I am a strong believer that one can't have it both ways, i.e., claim to genuinely value rational conduct, while engaging in conduct that belies such a proclamation.<<<

Umm, I think that personal attack is unwarranted. I'm sorry you resent sharing information.

>>>my point being that the shrill reaction your presence has generated from some may well be justified.<<<

That might have to do with the fact that the securities I choose to short sell usually go down. The fact that some refer to short sellers or myself as vermin or parasites is of no concern to me. I'm in the market to make money, and my particular talent is identifying overvalued situations.

To say that "the company" I keep is in any way valid to my assessment of a particular company is not rational. I am an individual. It's just me and my computer. Just because others identify the same overpriced situations that I do does not mean that I have any relationship to them. It is ridiculous to call me a follower of Mr. Pink, I wasn't even aware of him until I shorted CCSI last week. I think it is a mistake to judge people because of other posters who may share their position.

Face it, it's just an irrational view of short selling, and has nothing to do with me, except inasmuch as I am a short seller. Frankly, I don't believe a portfolio that doesn't have short sell in it to hedge against market risk is not diversified properly.

Oh, BTW, I have made no judgement of TAVA at this point in time. It is totally irrational that just my posting on the thread means that I am going to "target" the stock. I sell short fundamentally poor companies that I believe to be overpriced, and then point out my opinion. The share prices fall (if they do) based on the fundamentals, not on how loudly I shout that a company is a short sell.

Yeah, how come all the shortees get the white glove treatment? At the time I had been buying the stock last Sept.(From a Street.com article) Everyone was shouting plainly: "Do yer own DD dammit!!" to newbies then, even on first time info requests. Don't get soft now!<ggg>
