DM - I feel that a lot of the short interest is boxed , waiting to sell the longs and crater the stock, thereby profiting from the short. You will not be able to get an uptick when this thing lets go, it could be 15 to 20 points straight down.
As stocks like these ascend to incredible prices, the smart players have a long position, and also are building a boxed short position as they go, i.e. when it is possible to do so. Then the crash occurs (K-tel)
and they sell out the long, leaving themselves short only. Next day cover the short for more profits.
