I thought the report was very well done (except for the missing pages :), they confidently show what a terrific company they are, and recount all the successes and milestones of the past year. The only weakness I think they have in their message is the awkwardness of bundling security with traffic management into a consistent message. By moving away from pure security the message is less clear, their attempts to explain the new direction sound a little contrived. In 1 or 2 spots they did use the phrases "optimal connectivity" and "performance" in regards to FloodGate, I think performance is an important point to stress in their marketing (even w/o FloodGate).
I really believe that the management is several moves ahead of everyone else - I don't fully understand exactly where their expanded strategy is going, (I hope they do:), but I think over the next year it will become much clearer. I've gotta believe that there's something deeper going on regarding the recent acquistion, and the decision not to participate in the "security bundling" game a la NETA. In the meantime, I expect them to continue churning out great earnings, the Q1 revenue "disappointment" was their weakest quarter and this next quarter they will get their annual booster shot from Sun. I have tremendous confidence in them, and I think just the core firewall market still has substantial growth ahead.
